Recette Grilled Mini Tomato Skewers with Hummus and Soft-Boiled Eggs
A Sweet Treat Inspired by Grandma
This grandma-style tomato jam showcases the freshness of our La Vigne tomato. Juicy, well-balanced and naturally flavourful, it transforms into a sweet, slightly tangy jam inspired by traditional recipes. Delicious spread on toast, paired with cheese or served alongside your favourite dishes.
Ingrédients
- 1 kg (2.2 lb) La Vigne tomatoes, seeded and finely diced (or 2 bags of vine tomatoes = 10–12 tomatoes)
- 1 white onion, finely diced
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) brown sugar
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) white sugar
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) apple cider vinegar
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) lemon juice
- 5 ml (1 tsp) salt
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) chili flakes
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) pickling spices
Préparation
- Place all the jam ingredients in a large pot. Slowly bring to a boil.
- Cook over medium-low heat for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the desired consistency is reached and only a little liquid remains.
- Let cool, then transfer to jars.
- Serve with cheese boards, snacks, or grilled fish, poultry and meat.
